About the event
Inspired by Steiner Waldorf Pedagogy and cutting-edge educational approaches, our aim is to ignite a sense of wonder and imagination while simultaneously reducing the need for screen time.
Hands-on activities such as crafting shadow puppets, rhythmically rolling of moving panoramas, or creating shadowscapes will enhance participants’ practical filmmaking skills, visual thinking, and spatial awareness. Providing children with these manual multimedia will create learning opportunities through unique visual experiences during fun and immersive activities.
Playing in the darkness, becoming shadow actors, creating visual storytelling using movement, music and sounds, will help children to develop the feel for and deep understanding of Light, Shadow, Color, Movement and Texture of moving images. They will learn many practical filmmaking skills like cinematography, editing, screenwriting, directing, visual effects, as well as set and sound design, and principles of animation.
